The nearby village of Pentewan has a fabulous beach and cycle hire is also available in the village. The world famous Lost Gardens of Heligan are less then 3 miles away and it is now possible to walk there using mainly public footpaths. The Eden Project is about 7 miles from Mevagissey and is well worth a visit. Further afield are the Tate Gallery at St Ives and the National maritime Museum at Falmouth.
